Chris will share his thoughts on sustainability and the circular economy, and the challenges facing businesses as they try to balance sustainability and profitability.
Prof. Parik Goswarmi, Huddersfield University
Textiles as a tool to sustainable topical innovations.
Parik is Director of the Technical Textiles Research Centre and will discuss the role of chemical functionalisation in technical textile innovation, and how chemical functionalisation could be used to achieve sustainability in textile manufacturing. He will also discuss some contemporary challenges that the textile industry is facing and how we need to approach innovation strategically.
Adam Mansell, CEO of the UK Fashion and Textile Association (UKFT)
