Advanced Supply Chain Group MD shortlisted in Amazon Everywoman Awards

ASCG managing director Claire Webb has been shortlisted for the Amazon Everywoman in Transport and Logistics Awards.

The nomination means Claire sits alongside supply chain leaders from Wayfair and Virgin Media O2 as one of the industry’s most impressive professionals in the supply chain leader of the year category. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at the JW Marriott Grosvenor House on 30 June 2022.

Now in their 15th year, the awards celebrate the vital contribution women make to transport and logistics. Women still only account for 20% of the 1.7 million people working in the sector, despite research showing that diverse teams are better positioned to unlock innovation and drive growth.

ASCG has experienced strong growth over recent years against a backdrop of relentless change and ongoing challenges for the supply chain industry. This culminated in a deal last year that saw ASCG become part of the Reconomy Group.

With the huge shift in consumer shopping behaviour over recent years, I genuinely believe the only way to have a competitive advantage and point of difference in retail is through your supply chain,’ said Claire. ‘More than ever, it requires real intelligence, a strategic approach, and super smart systems to manage a comprehensive proposition across every possible route to market, ensuring your goods are in the right place at the right time when you need them, without impacting customer service.

‘Supply chain is an exciting, incredibly fast-paced sector and requires real innovation and agility - that’s why I love it. These awards showcase some of the top talent in our industry so it’s fantastic to have ASCG represented on the shortlist.’
