Alvanon, the world’s leading apparel size and fit expert, is bringing its unique Professional Development Series, PDS, workshops to the UK. The interactive module-based workshops, delivered by Alvanon’s strategic fashion sizing and fit consultancy AlvaInsight, will equip fashion professionals with the key concepts, components, tools and processes they need to achieve accurate and consistent fit, increase speed to market and improve product development efficiencies within their organisations and supply chains.

In recognition of the UK launch Alvanon will be hosting three introductory PDS workshops on Thursday 25th and Friday 26th September 2014 at the UKFT offices, 3 Queen Square, London WC1N 3AR. Open to companies of all sizes, each workshop will offer a masterclass in sizing and fit for childrenswear or for women’s and menswear:  

Thursday 25th September

The cost of one session is £175.00 per person or for two sessions £300.00 exclusive of VAT.  Places are strictly limited to 50 people per session.

Don Howard, executive director, AlvaInsight will host the introductory PDS workshops in the UK. He explained: “Alvanon launched PDS in the US in 2012 since then we have run customised workshops for leading apparel brands including Nike. The workshops are designed to help all fashion professionals involved in designing, making, buying, merchandising and marketing garments, understand how specific processes, practices and tools can help them be more successful on a daily basis.” He added: “Each workshop is tailored to show attendees how to execute 'best practice' product development and fit accurately and consistently across their supply chains from design concept through to customer engagement.”
