ASBCI member Shirley® will exhibit at Source Fashion (formally Pure Origin) on 12-14 February in Kensington Olympia London.

Source Fashion brings together the fashion supply chain under one accessible roof. From designers, fabric manufactures and technology and services, the event provides a forum for the UK fashion community to responsibly source their next range from diverse international manufacturers.

Shirley, which is the official member institute of the Oeko-Tex Association in the UK, Kenya, South Africa and Singapore, will be showcasing a number of Oeko-Tex schemes on its stand at the event as part of the business’s focus on protecting both human rights and the environment. These include Standard 100, Made in Green, and Responsible Business.

Oeko-Tex Standard 100 is an independent testing and certification system from fibres through to finished garments. If a textile article carries the Standard 100 label, every thread, button and other accessory has been tested for harmful substances.

Oeko-Tex Made in Green is a traceable product label for garments or textile items that proves the product has been tested for harmful substances and that it has been manufactured in STeP by Oeko-Tex certified facilities. The swing tag or garment label has a QR code that details the entire life cycle of the product, communicating to the customer exactly how and where the product has been processed.

Finally, Oeko-Tex Responsible Business is an independent certification system for brands, brand groups, retailers and traders of the textile and leather industry that enables a holistic consideration of due diligence measures into companies’ management systems. A certified Oeko-Tex Responsible Business company looks beyond its own operations and ensures high standards throughout its global supply chain.

Shirley experts Haydn Taylor and Francesca Walters will be at stand PO/E27 on 12-14 February at Source Fashion to answer any questions about the Oeko-Tex product portfolio.
