Members

The ASBCI will process the personal data of its members as it is necessary for us to do so in the legitimate interests of the ASBCI and our members in order that they can gain the maximum benefit of their membership of the ASBCI.

We will only process and use such data for the purpose of membership and not for any other purposes.  We will use the data to keep members informed about the ASBCI's activities generally.

The data we process about members contains their contact details, including name, email address/es, telephone number/s, postal addresses, period of membership, events attended, subscriptions paid or due, and other general information relating to membership.

Third Parties

The ASBCI also processes data of its partners, professionals, other organisations or businesses within the clothing industry or affiliated to the clothing industry, manufacturers, education establishments.  This is necessary in the legitimate interests of the ASBCI to do so in order to function as a trade body and to benefit its members.

The information we hold, includes name, email address/es, telephone number/s, postal addresses, period of any past membership, events attended, details of our relationship.

2. Visitors to our website - Personal data we may collect about you

"Personal Data" means any information that identifies you directly or indirectly, including, without limitation, by reference to your name, e-mail address, login ID and other contact or location data or to one of more factors specific to your physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity, that you voluntarily transmit with your communication to us.

In such instances we have written terms in place which regulate how they may use the data as our data processors.
• Third parties: We will only disclose your Personal Data to third parties under the following conditions:-
  1. if we are required to disclose or share your Personal Data in order to comply with any legal obligation or in order to enforce or apply our Terms and Conditions or any other agreement; or protect the rights, property, or safety of the ASBCI, our customers, or others.   2. in the event that we sell or buy any business or assets in which case we may disclose your Personal Data to the seller or buyer of such business or assets;
  3. if the ASBCI or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party, in which case Personal Data held by it about its customers will of course be one of the transferred assets.

6. How long do we keep Personal Data for

Members
We will retain the data for so long as you remain a member, thereafter it will be deleted although we may retain your contact details as a third party (below).

We will retain the information in this database indefinitely.

Visitors to the website
We will keep your Personal Data for as long as is necessary in connection with the purposes set out above, or for as long as you are a customer of the ASBCI. After our relationship is terminated we will keep your Personal Data for a reasonable period, to maintain our records in accordance with the law and our legitimate business needs. We may keep an anonymous form of your Personal Data, which will no longer refer to you, for statistical purposes without time limits, to the extent that we have a legitimate and lawful reason to do so.

7. Your right to unsubscribe (opt-out)

If you would like us to stop sending you marketing communications you may email us at [email protected] or the unsubscribe link in our marketing communications. Although we encourage you to use the unsubscribe link because it is automated, you may also send us a request and message via our contact page form. If possible, please include a copy of the communication you received to help facilitate a timely and accurate removal.
