New circularity platform for fashion industry
Fashion360 aims to create a global community of industry professionals sharing knowledge and expertise via collaborative workshops. These will provide participants with insights, practical advice and the tools to support their next steps in improving circularity and meeting legislative requirements. The events will also provide a safe space for participants to discuss challenges.
‘No one can solve circularity alone,’ said Camilla Mjelde, sustainability and compliance director at Trimco Group. ‘We need many different experts, innovators and suppliers to work together to develop viable solutions that the industry can adopt to move forward. This is what we aim to achieve with Fashion360.’
‘We need a new textile revolution, shifting from optimising for linear efficiency towards a circular value chain,’ said Vibeke Krohn, head of Tomra Textiles. ‘The common denominator to make this happen is collaboration across the value chain, and Fashion360 is an effort to do that.’
Following the success of pilot events in Oslo and Munich, five European events have been confirmed, with more in the pipeline. In addition to the founder brand experts, each event will feature guest contributors, helping attendees map out cross-functional solutions.
