GreenEarth Cleaning launches UK Earth Day clothes drive

GreenEarth Cleaning has partnered with Connoisseur Cleaners and North London Hospice to launch its first UK Earth Day Clothes Drive, demonstrating how garment care can support both circular fashion and local communities.

During the week-long initiative in April, almost 100 donated garments, including pieces from brands such as Whistles, Boss and Superdry, were professionally cleaned by Connoisseur Cleaners using GreenEarth’s silicone-based cleaning technology, then donated to North London Hospice’s Kentish Town charity shop. Proceeds from sales will help fund care for people with life-limiting illnesses.

Emily Cronin, retail development manager at North London Hospice, said: ‘Our hospice shops will receive quality items, cleaned using green techniques, for sale in our shops, with proceeds directly funding patient care. It is a brilliant initiative which will benefit the environment, our customers and, more importantly, our patients.’

Garry Knox, sustainability director at GreenEarth Cleaning, added: ‘This is the first GreenEarth Cleaning clothes drive in the UK. Looking ahead, we’d like to involve more GreenEarth affiliates in future Earth Day campaigns so even more charities – and even more garments – can benefit.’
