Event report: ASBCI interlinings training day
The practical one-day session was held at the Nonwovens Innovation & Research Institute and was ideally suited for those new to the industry or looking to refresh their knowledge. As well as covering the essential practical and technical expertise required, the workshop also offered participants individual advice on all questions relating to interlinings and fusing.
Freudenberg’s UK MD Nigel Towell and UK sales manager Andrew Laycock presented the latest product trends and helpful information from daily business practice. The participants were able to test their newly acquired knowledge directly during the training day under the supervision of the experts using test kits as well as items of clothing and applications they had brought along themselves.
Participation in the workshop was reserved for ASBCI members as one of the benefits of membership. It was one of a number of ASBCI events, including conferences, webinars and technical seminars and visits, that all focus on offering an opportunity to exchange knowledge.
Delegate feedback from the practical workshop was extremely positive. The practical tips and use cases were particularly well received. Participants requested a repeat session at a later date to stay up to date and refresh their expertise.
