Directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Giuseppe Tornatore and featuring a score by Academy Award-winning composer Nicola Piovani, the documentary explores the life, philosophy and business of the founder and executive chairman of the Brunello Cucinelli brand, tracing his journey from rural Umbria to building a global luxury fashion business centred on craftsmanship, humanistic values and ethical entrepreneurship.
The release, supported by the Italian Cultural Institute in London, follows the film’s successful debut in Italy and forms part of a wider international rollout.
The documentary presents Cucinelli as a ‘philosopher-designer’ whose approach combines commercial success with social responsibility. It also explores his long-standing commitment to restoring the medieval village of Solomeo, home to the company’s headquarters, reflecting his belief in preserving craftsmanship, culture and the dignity of work.
The film was produced by Brunello Cucinelli S.p.A. and MasiFilm in collaboration with Rai Cinema and is also being released internationally.
