Bodi.Me supports M&S gender-neutral uniform rollout

Fashion fit tech company Bodi.Me has helped M&S transition to gender-neutral staff uniforms by developing a bespoke fitting solution in collaboration with uniform supplier Incorporatewear.

While gender-neutral fashion and uniforms are on the rise, sizing remains a challenge and can result in high returns rates. To avoid this, Bodi.Me developed a bespoke version of its garment sizing solution Size-Me specifically tailored to mitigate the uncertainties associated with size selection for gender-neutral collections. The software uses data from more than 350,000 3D body models, cutting-edge AI and machine learning, and Bodi.Me’s proprietary algorithms to extrapolate an accurate size and fit recommendation from just a few simple questions.

To support M&S’s team, Size-Me 3.0 introduced a user-friendly approach via a set of straightforward questions for wearers to facilitate the provision of precise size recommendations for every garment within Incorporatewear’s extensive new gender-neutral uniform range for M&S. The result, according to M&S store services manager Suzanne Gardiner, was a reduction in returns for fit, lower costs, and an improved experience for wearers.
