ASBCI welcomes new member Webest

Established in 1998, the Webest Interlining Group is known for its craftsmanship and technological capabilities.

The business specialises in manufacturing a wide range of premium interlining products, with over 25 series and more than 8,000 product types. These include woven, non-woven, stretchable, leisure, and circular knit interlinings and TPU filming.

Webest is a pioneer in smart manufacturing and won the Smart Manufacturing Demonstration Factory award at the 2023 China Technical Textiles Intelligent Manufacturing Conference in recognition of key initiatives such as its intelligent defect detection system, intelligent warehouse system, and ERP and MES systems.

Webest has five regional hubs in Asia – in Vietnam, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Myanmar, and Japan – enabling faster lead times, greater supply chain flexibility, and more responsive customer support. It also has offices in Cambodia, the UK and Sri Lanka and is pursuing further growth in key markets including the US, Germany, Spain, and South America.

‘As part of this global strategy, we are placing particular emphasis on strengthening our presence in the UK and wider EU markets,’ says Webest’s Stephanie Lau. ‘This region is a vital component of our long-term development plan and joining the ASBCI represents a significant step in this direction. We value the association’s role in fostering collaboration and its mission aligns closely with our values of innovation, integrity, and shared learning.’

She added: ‘We are enthusiastic about connecting with fellow members and contributing to the ASBCI community. We would be honoured to collaborate with other members by co-hosting events, technical workshops, or knowledge-sharing seminars as a meaningful way to give back to the industry and strengthen partnerships within the UK and European apparel sector.’
