Smart Consumers Beyond 2020: The post-pandemic digital opportunity

Join experts in consumer behaviour and data analysis, logistics, and retail for an in-depth look into how the pandemic has changed consumer behaviour and how retailers must adapt to stay ahead.

Organised in partnership with ASBCI member, Eurofins

Covid-19 has not only changed how people buy but what they buy and when and where they buy it. National and regional lockdowns have closed high streets and changed people’s attitudes to shopping, perhaps forever. And the inevitable shift online, already well underway before the pandemic, has accelerated, and with it the transformation of consumer expectations of stock availability and delivery times.

How can retailers and the wider supply chain adapt to rapidly changing trends and a disrupted business environment while satisfying increasingly demanding and more socially conscious consumers?

The webinar will feature short presentations on key issues around consumer behaviour and its impact, including a look at the digital impact on buying decisions from the consumers' perspective, delivered by data and performance marketing expert Martin Corcoran from Summit Media Caroline Ellis, Business & Client Development Director and Will Robinson, Business Solutions Director at Advanced Supply Chain Group will then consider the way these changes have affected logistics and how retailers have responded to ensure they have the right products in stock at the right time to meet demand.

Suzanne Ellingham, Head of Content Retail & Fashion at Hyve Group will explore the latest retail trends, challenges, and opportunities from the perspective of independent brands and retailers, including the impact of the pandemic on sourcing and the complexities of a virtual buying season.

The speakers will be joined by Frazer Mead, head of global sourcing at The Very Group, for a panel debate and Q&A, moderated by Dr Julie King, ASBCI Event Director.
