David is currently working as a consultant within sourcing and procurement following his time at Matalan where he worked between 2003-2023 in various senior sourcing, technical and procurement roles culminating in Sourcing and Imports Director. David studied clothing engineering at the Hollings Faculty from 1985 to 1988, Manchester Metropolitan University. Prior to joining Matalan, David worked for Coats, a leading industrial thread and consumer textile business, responsible for technical advisory services on sewing solutions. David has been a member of the ASBCI since 2008 and on the 19th April 2021 was appointed as a Director of the ASBCI.
