Register now and join us at 10am on 5th June as Anne Davies discusses the importance of emerging talent to the fashion industry with our webinar hosts Simon Platts and Garry Knox.
Designers form a crucial early link to the fashion value chain, and have a huge role to play in helping the industry shift towards a more sustainable, more circular future, whether through designing for recycling and reuse, enhancing product durability or specifying more sustainable raw materials. And the designers of tomorrow are the students of today.
But the industry tomorrow’s fashion designers will work in is changing fast, compelled by external pressures, regulatory changes and new technologies to transform the way it operates. How does the fashion sector collectively support students’ educational requirements and prepare them for the future at a time of such rapid change?
Anne Davies is a champion of emerging talent. She launched Fashanne, Fashion Designers of The Future Awards, in 2016 to support the UK’s up-and-coming designers and promote diversity and sustainability on the catwalk. She will join webinar hosts Simon Platts and Garry Knox to explain it is so important that the industry and academia come together to support, uplift and mentor future talent and help foster the values this industry needs in its transition to a less wasteful and more profitable operational way of working.
This is a must attend event for all members; corporate, academic and students. To register click here.
