On August 12, 2026, the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) takes effect. From that date, any packaging placed on the EU market must meet new rules on substances, documentation, and design, whatever the material and wherever it comes from. Non-compliant packaging risks losing access to the EU market.
