ASBCI Autumn Conference – Fashion’s Future: sustainable, scalable, profitable. How do we get there?
It’s time to get real about industry transformation. Long a buzzword, now it is an imperative. As pressures on businesses and consumers continue to mount, and volatile global politics impact the value chain as never before, the question of how the fashion industry moves from outdated models and processes to a sustainable, scalable, and profitable future has become urgent.
But how do we get there? The ASBCI’s annual conference on 16th October will address this question from all angles, drawing on the best this industry has to offer to shine a light on the innovations, best practices and case studies that will provide actionable insights and practical steps to help the industry move forward, together.
Attendees also include Lipsy, Nordstrom, PVH Corp, The Very Group, Next plc, The Hut Group, Webest Group, Brook Taverner, Alvanon, GreenEarth Cleaning, Intertek, James Heal, Lectra, ShiplinesUK, and University of Nottingham.
Addressing the whole of the value chain from product conception to end of life, the conference will focus on the pain points and consider everything from raw materials and circularity to the potential of technologies such as AI to power data-informed decision-making and deliver efficiency up and downstream.
The event promises to deliver practical insights into how we achieve meaningful transformation throughout the fashion value chain from product development to end of life and reuse, with a focus on AI and emerging technologies, circularity, and regulation, including digital product passports. Keynote speaker is Tamara Sender Ceron, Mintel and other confirmed speakers including Lysette Kuwaki, Next Plc, Joseph Mountain of N Brown, Mar Fernandez of Alvanon, and Joe Darwen, CEO of CircKit, Harriet Noy of Just Hazaar, Neil Weaver and Lucy Blackley of Bombiix, Peter Needle of Segura, Dr. Rosy Boardman, Dr. Yi Li, and Dr. Jack Waverley of The University of Manchester, with experts such as Stuart Trevor (Founder of All Saints), Giuliano Martello, (previously Paul Smith), Anne Davies (Fashanne), Jenny Holloway (Fashion Enter / Apparel & Textile Manufacturers Federation) and Suzanne Ellingham (Source Fashion) will share their insights and deliver actionable points as the fashion industry grapples with the transformation required, more speakers will be announced in the coming weeks.
