Having held this event at the Merchant Adventurers’ Hall in York since 2014 the Society is now making a bold move to a new location and venue.
They have selected the Chester Grosvenor Hotel due to its very good road and rail links, with frequent direct trains to Manchester airport and to London. The hotel is also 0.7 mile / 15 mins walk from Chester railway station and just 3 miles from the nearby motorway network.
The Chester Grosvenor Hotel was established in 1865 and is situated on Eastgate Street adjacent to the Victorian Eastgate Clock (said to be the most photographed clock in Britain after Big Ben) that sits above the city walls. Chester also has a very wide range of hotels to suit many different budgets as well as much to explore and see within walking distance and beyond.
In the afternoon they have the SDC Awards Ceremony followed by a prestigious ‘black tie’ dinner in the evening.
The Awards Ceremony is free to attend, although they require you to book so we can ensure you have a seat and a coffee!
The Celebration Dinner is a chargeable Event costing £85 per person for the 3 course meal including some drinks.
Members and Non-Members alike are invited to attend to meet people from around the world involved in colour and to make new contacts.
