ASBCI TECHNICAL SEMINAR - "The Challenges of Risk Assessment and Product Development"

Thursday, 26th September 2019 - Eastwood Hall, Nottingham

Brand reputation can be improved – or damaged – by complying to regulations and standards.

A brand’s status can be enhanced when it is seen ‘to do the right thing’ – that may be to own up to a product’s consumer safety risk, or possibly withdraw it from sale.

TÜV SÜD is sponsoring ASBCI’s Technical Seminar on 26th September 2019 in Nottingham. During the seminar, TÜV SÜD will be sharing key regulations and risk assessment matters that are critical to apparel and will also include a ‘hands-on’ risk assessment workshop led by an industry expert in this field. A team of experts will also be conducting a Q&A session.

SPEAKERS:

TÜV SÜD's Keynote Presentation from Sheikh Minhazuddin - Deputy General Manager - R&D Head, Technical Governance and Regulatory Compliance, TÜV SÜD will cover 'Safe & Legal Clothing - Regulatory Updates'

Deborah Sharpe, Head of Technology - M&S Kidswear will be talking about 'Delivering safe and compliant children's apparel'

Geoffrey Willis, International Senior Apparel Industry Specialist - Trigon will talk about 'Risk Management Strategies - factory sourcing & auditing'

Geraldine Cosh, Director at Geralidine Cosh Consulting Ltd will cover 'Risk Assessment and Foreseeable use'
