Comments from one of the ASBCI Student Members:

I have been a student member of the ASBCI for over a year and feel that it has benefited me enormously within my studies. I have attended the student conferences and have learnt an incredible amount about how the fashion industry works and the jobs involved. The speakers have always been very informative and a recent question and answer session allowed us to become more involved in finding out what we really wanted to know. Throughout my final year I have been in regular contact with the office at the ASBCI,, who has been extremely helpful in finding me contacts and information about different topics surrounding my final major project. Through the ASBCI I have obtained sponsorship for my final collection from a leading fabric testing company - and been invited to observe the testing procedures at their premises. I have also made many useful contacts that will help me in my future career. I feel very much a part of the fashion industry and I have the ASBCI to thank for that.
